The Spiritual Counseling Network who is responsible for the "Find Zahra Baker Fund" claims to also be providing Christian Counseling -in contrast to what defines North Carolina's interpretation of pastoral counseling services. Tim Curtis fancies himself a Doctor, however, his degree is WORTHLESS in the greater scheme of things. He had to buy his degree from an online church, and he did so in an effort to promote his business, and to enhance his credentials so as to hold himself out as something that he is not. Mr. Curtis' willingness to proffer fake credentials and hold himself out as a "Doctor of Divinity" is not only a testament to his blatant dishonesty, but a shining example of his overall morals and character.
Diploma mills are everywhere, and Mr. Curtis and his associates were "ordained" online through the Universal Church of Life Ministries. The fact of the matter is this, Spiritual Counseling Network, obtained false credentials in an effort to make themselves and their new business seem legitimate. By using the fake credentials and pastoral ordinations, they used this social standing to advertise pastoral counseling which in turn would cause potential clients to rely on the expertise and perceived success behind the title of DOCTOR and reverend. Therefore, new clients would be more likely to purchase their counseling services which they offered at a discounted price as evidenced by their website. This deception is called FRAUD. Color it any way you want to - it is a deceptive practice and deception is fraud. Holding oneself out as a counselor infers that one has successfully reached a level of professional training and has graduated an accredited college or university to provide counseling. There are two other registered pastoral counseling centers in Hickory. One has 9 Licensed Professional Counselors, 1 Psychologist, and 2 Licensed Clinical Social Workers. Spiritual Counseling Network has THREE UNEDUCATED LOSERS providing counseling in contrast to what the North Carolina statute states about pastoral counseling. It's okay. I don't have to go into the statutes much. I do believe those dill holes are going to be hearing about their activities soon enough.
They are also still panhandling for monies in the name of Zahra Baker. I would also like to challenge the three pretend Reverends, Timothy Curtis, Uziel Medina and Brandon Greeson to prove just what they have done to "assist in finding Zahra". I am fairly certain that she was NOT at the Granite Falls Walmart shopping when they were out front panhandling donations, nor was she surfing online while they were begging for donations on Facebook to reach their $10,000 goal. With regard to counseling, what I have observed from the behavior that has been exhibited over the last few days from some of the members of Spiritual Counseling Network aka Hickory Ridge Church, one or all of them might need some counseling themselves.
Samanthainhky aka Samantha Miller who claimed to be from Hickory, North Carolina and a fourth year law student turned out to be a fraud. She was a persona obviously used by one of the dweebs from to obtain information from people about themselves and to then use that information to harass and intimidate them. Samantha (I believe you are a HE) was contacting people on Facebook and asking for information about what they knew about Timothy Curtis, Uziel Medina and Brandon Greeson. Samantha Miller claimed to have a friend who was working for the District Attorney's office, and that they were building a case against Spiritual Counseling Network.
Miller showed up at a Facebook group that was created to out the Find Zahra Baker Fund and get word out about the shady dealings of the operation. Miller asked that any information anyone had should be funneled through HIM at samanthainhky@gmail.com. Incidentally, when it was requested by the admins at the Facebook group advocating against the Spiritual Counseling NUTwork and their fake charity that any and all information about the men involved be sent directly to the DA's office, Samantha Miller basically flipped out and made an odd post "Axis II - Narcissistic Personality Disorder". She then deleted all of HIS posts and left the group -- not before the admins screen captured all of the posts. It is believed that Miller was more than likely one of the idiots trying to plant seeds of doubt. Miller even argued that the Spiritual Counseling Network could provide "pastoral counseling" on the basis that the church was accepting money to charge for the room that was used in response to this portion of the NC statute about pastoral counseling

Fee-Based Practicing Pastoral Counselors.
§ 90-380. Title.
This Article shall be known as the "Fee-Based Practicing Pastoral Counselor Certification
Act." (1991, c. 670.)
§ 90-382. Definitions.
The following definitions apply in this Article:
(1)
Accredited educational institution. – A college, university, or theological seminary chartered by the State and accredited by the appropriate regional association of colleges and secondary schools or by the appropriate association of theological schools and seminaries.
§ 90-391. Prohibited acts.
No person shall represent himself to be a certified fee-based practicing pastoral counselor or a certified fee-based pastoral counseling associate, or engage in or offer to engage in the practice of certified fee-based pastoral counseling, without a valid certificate issued under this Article. No person shall use these titles or descriptions, or any of their derivatives, in a manner
that implies the person is certified under this Article. No called or elected pastor during his active full-time pastorate shall practice as a certified fee-based pastoral counselor even if certified under this Article. (1991, c. 670.)

I totally disagree, and so does the State licensing board, with your interpretation. All they have to say is the "fee" is for the cost of using the room. I'm sure they have wiggled their way around it. I noticed today, the state approved their exemption for a charitable license. Go to www.sosnc.com and click on CHARITABLE LICENSING and search for "Spiritual Counseling." You can view all of the documents there. The state recognizes them as a church.
I am pretty sure that this photo of "Samantha" was stolen somewhere, and there is no real Samantha - note she has only been on blogger since October, 2010. How convenient. There is a comment on the blog from "Samantha" claiming to be working for her friend who works for the DA, and I am posting a screenshot since Brandon/Samantha/Tim/Whoozefatt likes to delete. I tried to call the DA all day today but assume because of the weather the phones were not working.

Likewise, having a doctorate of divinity does NOT give you ordination for ministry. Ordination is granted by the religious entity (church, mosque, temple, synagogue, etc). If their "church" ordained them, they can call themselves "Reverend" - that is the bottom line.

I am back in the area for the weekend and would like to meet with you to share information and see if we can take these guys down. I have received several emails from folks saying that I am connected with Greeson & Curtis. This is not true.
I am willing to meet with you in public and share with you everything that I have found. I have hundreds of of pages of documents, photos and have just got some audio recordings today of some phone conversations between an unnamed individual and Curtis - talking about someone being mistreated at CVBH.

This info needs to go through the Hickory Police Department, and that directive came straight from the Catawba County District Attorney's Office. There is NO Samantha Miller working for the DA's office.
